Prolific Brooklyn builder acquires Williamsburg development site for $15.6M

An extremely active developer in Brooklyn has added a development site in Williamsburg to his extensive portfolio, where he plans to build a new mixed-use project.

David Halberstam of Flatbush-based Bruklyn Builders has purchased the roughly 9,800-square-foot property at 60 N. First St. in the trendy Brooklyn neighborhood for $15.6 million, according to an announcement from commercial real estate brokerage TerraCRG. Shawn Safdie’s S3 Capital provided Halberstam with a $13.3 million loan to finance the acquisition.
